New Pitching Rules for Little League

Momsteam.com has a breakdown of the new, 2010, pitching rules for Little League. These rules are an update from changes made in 2007. In essence, Little League is trying to cut down on pitching related injuries. To do this, they are limiting the number of pitches and increasing the rest time for pitchers.

Total Sports Experience offers micro-programs to introduce kids to sports

Looking to introduce young children to sports? The Total Sports Experience in Rochester, NY offers a series of micro-programs designed to do just that.

Each program has a 2 month session that teaches kids the basics of the sport, along with developmental skills and team structure. TSE currently offers programs for soccer, baseball, basketball, and lacrosse.

According to their web site, the programs are designed to “introduce children to a variety of sports while building character and leadership skills.” Since the sessions run for six weeks, you can sample multiple sports or enroll your child without a long term commitment. Your child will learn about the sport and be able to discover which sport he or she likes the best.
